First incorporated in Nigeria in 1996 as Birmingham & Janetis Ltd for the purpose of providing Aeronautical support for Aviation Companies in Nigeria.

In 1997 however, with the departure of a principal shareholder, and the emergence of the Electronic Superhighway (The Internet), the company was re-engineered thus resulting to all new Speed Technologies Ltd with the specific aim of providing the highest level of computer support and allied services for small and large businesses as well as quality-conscious home users in West African Sub-region.
